SOCAL MEET: Canyon cruise/Coffee/Exhaust at Angeles Crest.

lets all make this work!!

The plan is to meet at the sports chalet parking lot (Sport Chalet Dr, La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91011) and then we go up all the way to Newcomb ranch. we have a coffee, eat, talk and then, we could drive about 2 more miles for some nice pictures! Or we can go get some pictures first and then we drive back to the newcomb ranch.

PLEASE WRITE IF YOU PREFER MORNING OR AFTERNOON. YOU CAN PICK MULTIPLE DATES.
If you can pick more than 1, do so, so we can gather as many people as possible.

I'll be out of the country the first weekend and therefore having family time the second weekend. Won't be able to make it. Have fun guys, and be safe.

Hmm. That sucks. Maybe I can add another option for the third week? Let's see how this goes.

I prefer morning on Saturdays as to not interfere with, um, College Football. Sundays are my decompress days so I usually do nothing but watch pr0n and play video games. I'm working on the 24th, and hope to be going to Buttonwillow at the end of October otherwise the schedule is fairly open.

I voted 10/8 but should be able to make it for any of them as I don't think I have any business trips coming up.

With family obligations I'm never really free but if something is set in stone I can probably try to make it any of the days. I have something the afternoon of the 1st in San Diego but I could still probably show up if we do it early that day.

Thanks! Good excuse for a road trip.
Very busy month for us, but it would be cool to meet up! If not this one, we will make it to a future meet up in SoCal.

For anyone who has never done Route 2, there's a ton of marbles, clag and tar. I highly recommend some wheel barrel wax and an extra coat of wax on the lower portion of the car before heading up! Even with that you'll probably want to remove the wheels for a cleaning and do a clay bar on the lower areas afterward. That said its a great road and well worth the trip!

Also, avoid riding/driving behind me as I have on fat @ss R-Comps at all times now on the Moupe. Unless you want your front bumper sand blasted.

Tony, I think it's just because of your low street sweeper front end collecting everything in its way I've driven on it a few times and didn't have any issue with marbles or tars - Only had to look out for huge rocks.

Ah, I'm from around this area, I know ACH and surrounding roads like the back of my hand! Would be down for this but doubt my car will be done by this time. Also have friends with LSB E46M & Jerez Black E90 M3 that would both be down to head up as well. We will generally cruise up to just beyond the tunnels before heading back down.

Definitely count me in for a future meet. Looks like there may actually be enough interest in SoCal to make this a semi-regular thing (meet/cruise/food or any combo thereof).

AriuSen - Are you in the LC area? I feel like I've seen that Z4M with plate "Z4_TRACK" on Foothill (or a friend texted me a pic of it).

I certainly hope our experience is closer to your previous ones, Ken...maybe without the huge rocks. I was pretty disappointed to have to pull my wheels to clean tar and rocks from the inner barrels as soon as I got home last time.

Off topic but hey, another Z4M & E84 X1 owner!

...though you've got an E86M rather than E85M. Still close!
