one more wheel question guys please..
so i took my beloved 224's to my preferred (3 out of 4 guys preferred wheel shop for refurbishment.. and i get a phone call saying that my front left is very much out of spec of circle. (one hell of a pothole) and possibly cracked. they can do ndt on it, but told them to halt for a bit…
not sure id wanna do that if the wheel is gonna be shot anyways… so my wheel shop has a spanking set of bmw gts wheels … fitment is 19x8.5 et37 and 19x9.5 et30 now, i can get them for a very good price, but would they fit? Bee mentioned my track wheels could be more aggressive, and id like to try the more aggressive look on my street wheels, how would this setup go? and what size tires would suit best? please remember i am on h&r dropped springs. any advice much appreciated..

No knowledge of GTS wheels, my questions are around weight then offset. My requirement is that wheel are under 20lbs.
A 9.5 rear with ET22 is going to look better than an ET30, and ET37 on a front 8.5 is still conservative and keeping close to stock scrub radius. Still a bit "tucked" at that offset. My preferred wheel combo at this point would be a 9" front ET35 or lower and a 9.5 ET22 or 10" rear either ET27/29. Front is an easy fit with the 9.0 and the 10" is a bit of a challenge rear (9.5 is pretty solid). Tires? Either the 235/275 or 245/275 combo. Have a look here and you'll see the rear is pretty aggressive while the front is still a bit too tame. I should have gone with a lower offset. http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=768791 |

if you really want to buy the ones your shop has stick a 5mm spacer on each wheel and you'll get a nice looking full setup but keeping away from the rub range.

Yep, that's the ones wonton, with 8.5 19 and 9.5 19. What would be the most desirable rubber size for those wheels?
Still waiting for info on weel weights.

buying 2nd hand here in Dubai, is risky at the best of time, and if I am going at 120km/h plus, id like to be sure of the stuff that's carrying me. and for me to buy one or a whole set new, probably wouldn't be much diff in price
