Engine noise
I'm getting a grinding noise in the front section on my Z engine at idle. Have 43,000 miles on my 2006. Think it's either water pump or alternator. Any ideas?

Use a mechanics stethoscope to pinpoint the culprit or take it to a reputable shop before you need to have it towed. There's plenty of other bearings at front of the engine that could make noise besides the alternator & water pump.
