Bridgestone Potenza S-04s

Just got a super deal (100 dollars a corner) on some of these from our company bridgestone representative (I use him for heavy duty truck tires). He worked it out so I could get out the door with four of these for a pretty nominal price. I'll write a review on them afterwards, should get them installed sometime next week if all goes as planned.

I've seen tons of reviews on these comparing them to PSS's or some of the other more expensive equivalents. Not sure how they'll turn out, but seems that tread life is the greatest concern. I don't daily the Moupe anymore, but it'll be put through her paces every now and then when she does get out of the stable. Hopefully I'll have some highway trips to take on my vacations and military travels coming up.

Has anyone else used these? Any reviews to date?

I like them, for the money...but it doesn't wear very well, especially on the rears. I'm near the wear bar (on the rears) after only about 15k miles and I'm not that aggressive of a driver

That's what most folks had stated. I'll probably end up with the same sort of result, but I'm not sure what to expect. If I get 15k out of 400 bucks I probably still can't complain.

Your fronts still ok? Any weird shoulder wear? What was your tire size? (if you don't mind me asking)

I'll definitely get them again if they can be had for $100/piece I'm running OE sizes (225/45-18F & 255/40-18R). The fronts are fine...I think they can go 25K+ miles.

No weird shoulder wear thus far, but you would want to pay attention to your tire pressure if you want them to last. These tires appeared to like OE pressure settings (29 - 30 psi). I ran 32 psi on the rears and saw the center wore much more quickly. The fronts wore evenly @ 32psi. So, I left the fronts @ 32psi and lowered the rears to 30psi

Those are OEM size for 17" tires, not for 18". The 18" sizes are 225/40 x 18 and 255/35 x 18.

My quotes are for MC and MR OE tire sizes.

MZ4 Roadster and Coupe tires are one aspect ratio taller than non-Ms. 225/45/18f and 255/40/18r.
