fix curb rash for $60?

doesnt sound right to me...I went to a car wash, they curbed the driver front tire, no big gouches, just rubbed/flaked paint off, they sent me to autobody place and they are sending out rim to a place to get it refinished... claims it will be perfect, I asked how much that costs retail and he said $60.

wtf.... is that right or are they just going to fck up my rim.

Whoa, that's cheap...I got 2 rims refinished for $250. They basically sanded down the lip, painted it and put a clear coat.

My fiance curbed one of the wheels on my 07 X5, we called the recommended local refurbisher and he came to my place of work, removed the wheel, repaired it and reinstalled it for $75.00/wheel. I've had this done to 2 wheels and they both came out absolutely perfect.

I think alot of it has to do with where you're located, I feel like services in the Tri-state aera always fetch higher prices but I know it cost me typically $125-150 to refinish a wheel. Some places charge more if the wheel is bent, others have that included as part of the $150.
