Guten Tag!
Hey everyone, I'm new here and just wanted to say hi! I just bought my first BMW, a silver 2006 Z4M. I absolutely love it, and now I've caught the Bimmer bug and am obsessed with all things M related It's a bit of a dream car---I had a poster of one on my wall when I was a kid.
This forum was incredibly useful when I was doing research before I bought my Z, and I can't wait to learn more about it from everyone here. |

Hi,
I recently purchased my 4th BMW... 2004 Z4 30i It's in excellent condition for a 13 year old car, I'm the 3rd owner. I know not everyone likes the chromed alloy wheels but I love them on this car. Chrome with the Black Saphire paint is a timeless style IMHO. Doing some typical maintenance to it and it needs a new windshield cowl. Any suggestions on best place to buy a new cowl are welcome.

Hey everyone! Just got my 2006 Z4 3.0si a couple of weeks ago. I'm totally loving it! Always thought I wanted a Porsche until I drove both. I do have one question. Is there any drawback to keeping the car in sport mode during daily driving conditions? Thanks in advance!

Many will not use sport mode on the track including myself since the pedal is harder to modulate and feels twitchy to me. it's fun on the street for sure. .

Cool! Thanks for the response. I really love keeping it in sport mode, so I'm really glad to hear that I can drive it in SM all I want!

Hello,
I am going to buy a Z4 any day now. I have my eyes on a 2003 but I am waiting on the dealer to get the radio working. If that don't happen soon I have a couple of others that are FSBO that is in my price range. I really want a manual transmission but there are many automatics out there for sale. Regardless I will be posting pictures of a Z before long. The Z4 Maldives Blue is the one the dealer has, we will see. He has been trying to get the radio working for over a week. Hi, I am new to the site and BMW. As of last week, I bought my wife a 14k mile Sterling Grey Z4 from a family friend. Its a 2.5 with the sport pkg, dual power leather, power top, cd changer, air, the upgraded headlights (hope those things do go out). On a side note, this is the first foreign brand I have ever purchased. So far, I am quite surprised with this vehicle. It is very easy to drive, handles well (corners very well) and has plenty of power for its size. I didn't buy it as a hot performance car as I am used to cars with way more power so I wasn't it expecting to be like one of my muscle cars just a fun convertible for her to drive on nice days. I was impressed with how it uses the power it has. It gets through traffic very well. Only downfall I see so far is a terrible radio head unit and sound system even with the amp system.
anyway, thanks for the add and hope you don't mind if from time to time I ask what some might think are dumb questions. Although I have built a lot of cars in my life, this is completely new to me. |
