Hi. I bought a 2008 z4 today with hid headlights. I can see that the auto leveling is working because the cutoff lines are go up and down when I turn them on.

But the left one is aimed too high. Is it possible to manually adjust this aim? How do I do it?

There is hex adjuster located just behind the hood latch on either side of the car. It is white plastic. You can manually adjust the vertical aim of the headlights individually by turning it.

If you look at the alignment picture in the TIS the right headlight should be a touch higher than the left headlight.

The TIS alignment picture does not quite make sense until you pull your car in front of a garage door or other suitable wall (about 15-20 feet way) and turn on the lights. Then the TIS alignment picture makes perfect sense.

Cool. TIS is the best small $ item I think I've spent on this car!

Thank you for the information guys. so even if i have auto leveling, the base line vertical aim still needs to be done manually right? I thought with auto leveling, everything is done automatically.

You have to give the autolevelers a baseline starting point.
