Looking for DIY installing aftermarket headers?
If anyone has seen a post or has documented doing this mod I would appreciate your reply.

you may find something on the e46 M3 forums.
That's probably the closest you'll get.

I really should have done a DIY but I was fighting time. I had to do it outdoors with 12 hours of good light and a flashlight. Let me look for some links. I am also here if you have any specifics. I have some tips and such like tools needed, things like that.
http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=419474 http://karcraze.com/headerdiy.htm Here's another good writeup above. I only had to remove one 02 sensor from the car because it was hard to get off with the header installed. MARK YOUR 02 SENSORS..Important. If you have an o2 sensor socket you can get three 0f the four off the headers before taking out of car. This way you only have to worry bout having to reattach one 02 wire to the cylinder head cover. Use PB blaster on the header nuts and let soak for a while. This will help keep your nuts from coming out with your studs. I would get new studs along with nuts just in case this happens. I did not have the studs and it sucked as I had to rethread a couple. They are cheap. This caused me to have to actually remove the headers once partially installed. Not fun. A great mod. I love it. Take your time and ask questions before you get into the install.
