bad DSC unit
So I'm eyeballing an 07 to buy with a bad ABS DSC Unit. The seller was quoted $3700 at a dealer to replace. What gives? Why in the hell is it such crazy money, can they be rebuilt, why no go used etc. Is this a common problem and is it more common in certain year models than others?

If you DIY I think you must have INPA because you have to activate all the ABS valves when you have installed the unit to get the air out.
There are specialist companies that refurbish abs units for a fraction of the price. It's mostly problems with soldering connection on the computers' PCB (thats often a ceramic pcb with very fine soldering so less of a diy job) The abs unit is a very expensive part.
