Wheel Fitment Please! Urgent!
I am looking to get rid of my 19's and take the 18" road. I've looked through all the pages of the NON-M Wheel Thread and can't find a straight answer so here it is. Please help!
What I'm planning on getting: Wheels: VMR V710 F: 18x8.5 et? R: 18x9.5 et35 Tires: Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 F:235/40/18 R:265/35/18 I am on Bilstein Sport shocks and an Eibach pro kit. So here is my question. What offsets should I get for the front wheels to fit those tires? & Will that 235/40 fit alright without any rubbing? I feel like a 225/40 is too narrow for an 8.5" wheel. Please help! I need to place my order by tomorrow. Thank you guys! I really appreciate it. |

I just recently got VMR 703's and I went with 18x8.5 et35 and 18x9.5 et 22. The tires I am running are 245/40 for the front and 275/35 on the rear. I should have went with the 245/35 for the front and to be honest I thought I did but I ended up with these and didn't want to wait any longer. The front's sit flush and look great but they do rub a little. I have my car lowered to about half a finger gap on coilovers.

8.5ET35 is about as aggressive as you want to go in the front. For the rears, 9.5ET40 is a little more ideal IMHO. It depends on how aggressive you want the offset to be, and whether you are ok with occasional rubbing. My non-M rears are 9.5ET45.

Here are my non-M rears... 9.5ET45. I could go slightly more aggressive, but I like them as they sit. I'm on the app, so hopefully it resizes the picture to reasonable dimensions.

In the technical section of this web site, you will find a tab that is just wheels and tires: in that section there is a 'definitive wheel and tire' for non-M's.
Here is the link to that thread: http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=398990 |
