Muffler Delete

I got tired of having the same exhaust setup... and I'm looking for something that I can slap on/off whenever I want. I am thinking of going to a muffler shop and get myself a muffler delete. Any suggestion? What muffler/exhaust tip should I use? For those who custom made their magnaflow mufflers, chime in!

How about an electronic bypass instead?

Use Magnaflow 11365 mufflers. They are the shortest straight-thru mufflers you can get to my knowledge. They fit up underneath nicely. I'm also using some chrome staggered tips. Don't have a part number on them tho.

The sound is very nice. It's not obnoxious loud, has a little rasp to it, but sounds mean when WOT. Like it a lot, especially for the price.

I want something different before I head back to brazil.

Also, i dont want mufflers as I want something louder than my SS setup (stepped headers, xpipe, and SS race) ... Just muffler tips to fill out the gap

These tips very similar to mine. I'm willing to bet they are probably the same ones.

I put these in my section 1. If you want loud, do this. Sounds like a ferrari above 4k. People always tell me they think a crotchrocket is coming. It doesn't sound at all like a civic with a fartcan if thats what you're thinking. You can litterally hear it coming a half a mile away at part throttle.

I was even thinking of just getting my SS Race out and making custom mufflers with AR25 resonators... I wonder how would that sound. Cutout would be extremely gnarly loud... Do you have any sound clip??

I'm not looking to spend another 1k for mufflers (can't justify having SuperSprint and RPi)... So I'm trying to find a louder/cheaper alternative that won't sound like a civic.

Did anyone try using the ar25 resonators as mufflers? Or anyone with SS Stepped/X-Pipe/Muffler delete?

Update: purchased two ar25 resonators... And using them as mufflers. I'll update as soon as I get them installed.

Sound clips are absolutely worthless lol. It's too loud. I'll have to have someone stand like half a mile down the road.

lol damn Charles...your setup isn't loud enough for you? Mine only has the addition of SS section1, but should sound pretty close to yours. My setup registered @ 104dB @ Laguna Seca

104dB?!

I'm gonna go on and try to run my car for a day without mufflers... and see if it's tolerable. But I already purchased two ar25 resonators and two sets of exhaust tips (I know, I'm very indecisive)... Just waiting for them to arrive so I can try something new.

haha I'm going to try and make my own resonators while I'm here in China for internship. I just hafta find some kind of fiberglassing or glasspack material to go on the inside. Everything else is a piece of cake. I have access to all of the factory's tooling here

I have everything done and all I have to say is... WOW, it's LOUD. My friends told me that this setup is way more aggressive than my SuperSprint Race, and they all loved it (not quite sure about my neighbors, but I idle to my garage). Everything else (SS Stepped Headers and SS X-Pipe) remained in my car. I'll try to record a video clip of my car soon!

I eventually ended up using two AR25 resonators as mufflers and believe me, the setup I'm running now is LOUDER than RPi. The drone was killing me but I eventually used Dynamat in the trunk (not a lot, used it as shock absorber, almost the same idea as tennis racket shock absorber) to settle down a bit. I'm driving up to Las Vegas tomorrow from San Diego and I'm not quite sure if I'm going to be able to handle the noise. If not, I'll just switch it back to SS Race when I get back.

you're not going for S2000 @ MFest loud are you?

I think Tekmoe's tips would do the trick...but I'm no expert by any means.

I believe I am Todd, very close to S2k loud @ MFest indeed. My car is easily three times as loud as before, but not rice loud, MEAN LOUD... and I did use Tekmoe's tips, but I angled them differently.

Today is the day that my ears will bleed. Driving up to LV again!
