So I Like Blue

So after learning a ton on here about the suspension for the Z4, it turns out 7 will be pulling AutoX duty and the Coupe gets a gets to stay stockish. For now...
Hopefully my video posts.

Nice! Your Land Cruiser is the wrong color!

I think you made the wise decision not doing anything with the Z4C suspension yet. Get some really good tires on it (RE71s, Rival 1.5S) (or RS4 if you want to save a few bucks) and run it in a few events. I think you'll find you do pretty well stock against local competition.

I'm Super stoked. I put the 18x9.5 PS7 wheels with 265-35-18 PSS tires, WOW. I put 200 miles of twisties on it last night, what a Toy!

My main local competition is 2 Lotus Elise, an Alpha 4C and your usual miatas. We run in the wet quite often and I think if its really wet the PSS and me will just kill it. I am blown away by the wet traction.

I haven't washed the Landcruiser in 4 years, not sure what color it is...

So I have the rears a ~1.0* Negative and the fronts at two shims (4mm) which looks like just over 2*. I didn't touch the pin.
The DSC saved my bacon once last night when I hit standing water at a significant speed.

The front tire just touches the rearward part of the fender liner at the bottom at full lock, I think lowering it a bit will increase clearance.

I am just gonna have fun with this and build the RX7 to Win AutoX.

I picked up so H&R springs so I will likely try that. If it is not an all-around improvement I will use the stockers. I'm hoping the rapid left-right(like a slalom) delay will be lessened as well as the modest dive under braking. Mainly I just need to practice driving this beast

Heaps of fun! I will post up my impressions of each evolution later, but the tires are the best mod I can imagine.

Cheers, Carl

Have you considered moving to linear springs? Progressive rate springs can cause a lot of initial slop.
