06 E85 Z4si Rug keep on slipping forward?

Hi,
I have the OEM Z4 carpets in my car is there any way to keep them from sliding forward? There are no tabs, hooks or Velcro on the bottom of the top carpet of the top of the bottom carpet?

TIA

Buy a new set of OEM floormats. They come with a mounting kit.

Yes there should be a velcro strip on the floor covering as well as the floor mat

Not on mine! The sliding floor mat was such a PITA that I took the damn thing out and went without one.

I have seen those but I do not think there made for my car or carpet as there is no velcro under the top pad.

Strangely, my car came from the factory with the velcro anchor on the passenger side but not the driver side. My solution was to wedge the mat underneath the throttle pedal (the plastic base piece that's screwed the floor board). 7 years later it's still my solution.

the PO of my car put velcro sticky bit (a wide strip) along the back of the carpet, and its great, no movement what so ever.

If you don't have the velcro pad in the carpet - go to walmart or similar and
Buy the velcro
https://www.walmart.com/ip/VELCRO-Br...-3-ct/17190461
Curved needle
https://www.walmart.com/ip/New-Pack-...nvas/788697440
and thread
and sow/stitch it into the carpet
Its better than dying from not being able to press the brake peddle!

You don't want to do that.

Let's just say that having that carpet slide FORWARD and wedge itself onto the throttle and locking the throttle down at top speed in a turn on track makes for brown stains in pants.

Don't ask me how I know. Luckily the seats on the MZ4 Coupe is "Dark Sepang Bronze."
