Don't use them they are junk

All sorts of problems with fit and function - they are cheap made in China and provide no advantage over stock. Use OEM, I bought a set then had to replace them with OEM.

Hmm odd. I saw 11rwhp increase, but that could have been from external factors. I couldn't wait and ordered oem from ecs tuning

Bummer, I have the red top from bav and have had 0 issues with them. No noticable difference beside it seems like a more robust product comparing the to stock in hand.

I decided to splurge for the valve adjustment and save a bit on labor while at it. I'm at 79,800 miles now, and considering I want to keep the car for another 3+ years, I wanted the piece of mind

What's the normal replacement for ignition coils? When they fail? I've got close to 80K on my E90 and 57K on the M. Never been touched other than to remove for spark plug replacement.

I popped 2 coils when starting up the car for the first time with the supercharger, and about 30k miles later when I was trying to merge onto the highway at full throttle. I don't think a non-supercharged car needs them replaced as often

To be fair, bavauto has offered me replacement coils at a heavily discounted price even though I'm beyond the 2 year warranty period, they're just out of stock for another week.

I had them on my long list of "replace at about 100k miles" stuff.
Replaced at 93k while doing a valve adjustment.
I got OEM ones from, of all places, Amazon.
I'll just run these to fail since I have the original 6 as spares.
I carry 1 in the trunk.
