I thought the show was neat, but I have to say, if BMW 'obsesses' over such minor things such as having a PhD for making gong noises, why do such things such as bad steering columns ('03-'05 Z4s), leaky gaskets (M differential), poor materials (bad bolts for the engine mounts) get by these guys? I mean really, it takes 7 revisions to fix the HPFP problem?

I realize a car is a very complicated device and they are pushed by management to get new models out very fast...but still, it drives me crazy.

I digress...

I thought the show was a touch too "markety". I agree they spent a bit too much time on the Rolls and sound engineer stuff. I'd have rather seen interviews with racers driving and talking about BMWs, or maybe Sabine Schmitz; more about what cars they've fielded on the racetrack; maybe some time in their car vault. What made me become obsessed with BMWs as a teenager were the cars that came before, as much as the models that were current at the time. I'd see 2002's, older 320's, and think they were very cool. The 645's and 535's were what mostly made it onto my floor-to-ceiling BMW wall though.

For anyone else who prefers USENET for their downloads, hear ya go...

If you have to ask, then you're probably better off sticking with the torrent. You'll need a USENET account with some service to access.

The only M badge I saw over the course of the show was the upside down X5 M.
