I would like to buy a pair of stock Z4M mufflers if anybody has them left over after installing an aftermarket exhaust.

man, why? THese sell for as much as good aftermarket mufflers

I am thinking about gutting them to see how they sound after that. I have a Ducati 999 and some of my riding buddies have gutted their 999 exhausts; their bikes sound insane and keep the stock look. They cannot be that much money, especially if they are sitting in somebody's garage. I will not buy them if I find the price outrageous. The other route is muffler bypass, which can be a few hundred dollars to custom make...I hate when anybody works on my cars; consequently, I figured the mufflers could be a way to go.

Interesting, do you have to cut them open, gut them, then weld them back together?
