Extended storage

So i finally googled and found out that I95 new england roads wont be finish till 6/2016. I driven my car 3-4 times in the past 1.5 year because the roads are so bad. I'm getting it dmv inspected and back to storage again.

I'm only planning to do my annual oil change before I put it back into storage.

Last summer I flushed radiator and brake fluid and only driven about 200 miles since.

Ill be checking up on the car weekly and plugging a battery tender to it or unplug the battery completely.

Anything else I may have forgotten..

You might want to lift the car so the tires aren't sitting on the floor. That length of time the tires might flat spot.

I thought that adding 5 extra pounds pressure per tire would avoid flat spots.

make sure you top up the gas tank.

Wash, wax and dry the car before storing too.

If its not raining after I wash the car, I usually spin the car around the block so I can apply the brakes a few times and clean the surface rust off the rotors that develops with washing.

It's best to not let the suspension hang free.

UNLESS - if you are on a beach in the South of France.

To be safe I also put a couple of these mats under each wheel to avoid flat spots. They're dirt cheap insurance.

OP: What part of I-95 New England? I know the roads in general are bad around here, but come on. The car won't break if you drive it over a few bumps. And I thought I was bad for not breaking 1000 miles this season. I'm at about 800 miles so far since I took the car out of storage in early May. You can at least drive it around town to run errands - no need to take it on the highway for that.
