Guys I just got my z4. Could you list the best stuff I should be buying.

Oil
filters
rear diff oil, belts
brake fluid

and anything you can think of.

First things first! Congrats on the new car! These things are some serious fun .

Can you provide more details on your vehicle? Maint often comes down to age, condition and milage. Post those up and I'm sure the group will have a good deal of helpful ideas. Did the car come with any maint records?

Ok I changed my profile.

Just got it home last night, thanks its awesome.

I need to replace the air filter.

The cabin filter is fine.

Wiper fluid fine

I need a bottle of brake fluid, do I need to buy BMW?

Also do I need to buy BMW coolant?

Im gonna use Mobile 1 5w 30

Oil, I use Castrol Edge euro formula 5w30.
Filters, I use Mahle.

I swear I took out 7 quarts of oil, and add 5 1/2 quarts and it says ok.

Any thoughts?

What that piece of small flat plastic we need to remove to change the oil? Whats it called, need to get another one. Mine is all bent up.

Capacity is 6.9 quarts. Oil level sensor will only give a correct reading if engine is running and oil is warm...vehicle driven 6.5 miles.

So the previous oil change they added too much. Does that hurt anything?

Oil drain cover - 51717893279
