Next Level Detailing of an M Coupe

Couldn't find a detailing sub-forum so sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Saw these recently and I thought I would share. If you ever want to go overboard with your car and have lots of time available follow what this guy does

Black is such a hard color to keep clean and shiny. It's unlikely the vlogger is the original owner, otherwise the paint wouldn't have that much swirl in it.

Here's mine after the last session.

And I don't go into as much detail as the vlogger in the video above. Don't get me wrong. The MZ4 Coupe has, at one point, been a daily driver (or actually every other day when I carpool). The only thing is, I never let anyone wash the car. When it goes into dealerships I explicitly tell them not to wash the car, no matter how dirty it is. The problem is, once they put a set of dirty rags to the car to dry it, it's game over.

I have had a couple of unfortunate incidents where the car got sprinkled on by sprinklers, and parked outside long enough for the HARD water to dry and get baked on. That's another pain in the @ss to get off. Actually took MF rags dipped in a warm 50/50 white vinegar/water solution and some moderately abrasive polish to get off.

You can actually get to 99% of his results with about 20% of his work. The only thing is, 90% of the work is in the DETAILS. Stuff like taping off the door sills, or the lines of the car, or washing the edges of the door with a different rag and bucket...That's the DETAILS.

I would do it if I'm truly OCD.

Garage List
Now do it without the fingerprint on the camera lens

I am surprised he left it running the whole time, is there a good reason for that? I didn't even have the patience to watch his whole detail let alone do my own :|
