Whos the MOD KING?

I wanted to start a thread to find out which Z4 here takes the crown for being the most modded. Please share pictures to earn your crown! I have a feeling I know who will win this but I am curious as to know who else is lurking around this forum!

The one with the lengthy modification journal comes to mind. ;-]

This is the one everyone above me (I think) is referring to.

http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=403119

One of the best build threads I've ever seen.

There are a few out there that have a lot of custom work done that arent even on BMW forums...

It is also not about who has the most mods. Its about how your car flows and what is the best for you. Keep in mind some mods will make your car perform less than par...

As far as magazine coverage I haven't seen one in any nationally recognized magazines. It would take a lot more than what I have seen on this forum. There are a couple though that are pretty close but for them its about the track and daily driving not about who has the most mods..

I had one of my cars in Import Tuner and Superstreet and quite frankly what it took to get my car to that level back in 2004-2005, I could have bought another car for that price, and I am talking $30,000+ back then.

^Truth.

End up spending twice as much as you bought the car for just to get on a magazine. Same goes for winning shows, but if that's your thing, then spend away!

Yup and you know whats funny, is once you are in the magazines winning trophies at HIN/HID comes automatic...but there are politics involved also....and it depends on who you know.

This is forum has been around a long time and I am new here. So just trying to get some nice threads flowing, not sure if you are seeing my point... I am not trying to be politically correct, and looking to see only a car that is built for a track, or only a car that is on the cover of import tuner. Primarily just wanted to see "in general" what crazy mods people have done track or show. I love the nostalgia of BMW and although we all like/love our cars most people always find away to change something, just curious as to what extent. thanks for your input though...

if that car is a wide body it does not look very wide... I believe that's a 3.0 made to look like an M right?

Definitely not as exaggerated as most widebody cars, that's for sure. It is indeed an M though. Look at the VIN sticker on the door panel.

I would have to say right now you or z4mnyc up in Seattle are the front runners.

That is until the Horsepower Freak Z4M hits the streets in the next few months from suspenion to stage 3 turbo, rollcage, etc... It will probably be the fastest (straight line) Z4M on the streets with over 800 hp.

This is what David was saying last month when I was down there.

I totally agree with this. Both of you guys are an inspiration to track Z's. The amount of thought and initiating is overbearing! You guys really do work and it shows both physically and mentally.

I can't wait to see the HPF Z4M! It's going to be epic. Although I don't think I could justify spending $16K on my car. Well, not with my current financial standing.
