Disappointed - coolant hose quick disconnects - any options?
Really hate dealing with these quick disconnects. Was hoping there were some conversion kits or quick disconnect hose ends which allowed me to go back to regular barb and hose clamps.
These things are always a nightmare to remove. Can anyone recommend aluminum quick-disconnect hose ends with a barb on the other end? Or, perhaps someone has a secret to keeping these from sticking after a few heat cycles?

I have had mine off annually the last 3 years doing under hood mods.
I always put a light coating of petroleum jelly on the male fitting upon reassembly Have not had issues removing.

These have probably been on here for tens of thousands of miles (90k mi on the odometer). Good to hear that if they are lubed and "frequently" removed/inserted, that they come off easily. I will most likely being doing constant mods on this vehicle and doing the same as you with these hoses. Petroleum jelly the best for this vs. grease?

i also use silicone lube but that doenst really work. I feel Andre's frustration. I've had them on and off quite frequently (6 months or so) and with silicone lube but that doesnt really work. The silicone lube does make them go on real easy but after 6 months its mostly same old same old.
The cooling hoses can be a pain (I use penetrating oil before attempting) but getting the coolant reservoir off the radiator is a REAL pain. But hoses on barbs also can get stuck. but then at least you can get a hook under there and rotate around the barb loosening it. I think a 100% conversion will be difficult though (because of the room aquired) I've never seen an adapter from the bmw system to a barb or so.

I had an issue with the blower belt rubbing on my upper rad hose.
Bought 2-45 degree 1.5" odd aluminum elbows from Summit Racing and fashioned a new upper hose The ends can be disassembled should the push lock fitting get seized The factory push lock ends have a ribbed end once the OEM hose is removed Might suit your needs Andre
