Feeler Post 2003 Z4 33k Miles

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to make a feeler post to see if anyone was interested in my Z4. A little about the car I'm the 3rd owner and have owned it for a couple of months now. Z is in pristine condition and looks like it just drove off the showroom floor. I believe the build of the Z is quite rare since it has the full BMW Performance body kit installed from the dealer.

The kit includes the front bumper, side skirts, diffuser, and spoiler. This completely changes the look of the Z and one of the main reasons I bought it. Only has 33k miles and all services were done at BMW. I will attach a picture of the original window sticker as well. The car is such low miles and was always garaged kept so hasn't needed much in its lifetime.

Z4 Specs:
- 2003 BMW Z4 2.5i
- 5 speed manual transmission
- 33k original miles
- Titanium Silver Metallic Exterior
- Pearl Grey Interior
- Sport package
- Bi-Xenon Headlights
- Fully Automatic Top
- Heated Front Seats

You're going to have to provide a lot more information if you want any sort of intelligent response from this forum. A couple of pictures is insufficient.

Hello Everyone! I am back in town now and have taken some detailed pictures of my Z. Car just hit 33k miles and is absolutely mint. I just completed an oil change, coolant flush, and new thermostat!

Looking for $23,000 OBO

It’s a gorgeous car and tough with how rare the body trim from the factory. You’re in the right place to list it as it’ll take that special buyer wanting this configuration at the price. On CarGurus there’s a listing from a dealer in Dublin CA ‘05 1 owner 2.5 manual with M sport seats no accident with 17,004 for miles at $19,995. It’s the market you’re up against with the reality of a 20 year old car. That and there’s a bit of aftermarket support from skyer to offset the obtainability for the body trim. M roadsters are going for a few k more on your asking price in the 50k mile range so it’s a tough call does a buyer pick a lower mileage 2.5 with rare body trim or spend few k more to get the M with little more mileage and all the updates that come with the facelift and of course have a MR.

At one point I was entertaining the idea of trading my 03 looking at a 997. The dealer this was at deals with rarer and modded cars near me and were very fare on their offer for my 03 in trade offering me M trade value at similar miles and condition with the well over 20k put into aftermarket performance in the car. I’m glad I kept it and have had it almost 12 years now passing on the 997.

To give another price comparison just over a year and a half ago I added my 07 coupe no accident 2 owner (2nd owner had it from 09 until me) with 32k miles for $21k, so that’s also the market you’re into does someone buy your 2.5 03 or get a ‘06+ 3.0si coupe same price and miles and get the trim later.

Again it’s a tough market but you’re in the right place to find that special buyer I’m sure is out there for you. I wish you the best in finding them to give it a good home.

Thank you for your detailed response! I completely agree with your analysis that it would take a special buyer that is specifically looking for this model with the body kit etc.. It is extremely difficult to price this car but figured it was a starting point. I really hope I can find a fellow enthusiast to take over this beautiful Z as this is truly a future classic.

With all this said I am motivated to sell as I have moved to Europe and can't keep all 3 of my BMW's stateside! Will be keeping my e91 and e36 m3 so the e85 has to go!

New Price: $19,000 OBO
