Step by Step bluetooth help
hey guys,
Recently purchased a previously owned bmw M Coupe 06 and am now trying to pair my 3g iphone... for the life of me i cant get this to work... I've searched in my owners manuals for anything bluetooth related and couldnt find anything, i've also done a forum search and couldnt find any step by step guide... I understand your car needs to have the premium package for bluetooth and to the best of my knowledge i think my car has that package....unless the bmw dealership is lying to me Anyways guys, can someone please give me a step by step instruction guide on how to do this? Thanks guys, also sorry for the bad grammar, in a huge rush but couldnt get this off my mind!

Well first, do you know the code(this isn't like pairing most bluetooth devices, code is already set for the car)? If so, just hit the "r/t" button on steering wheel. Find the car on your phone and select pair from your phone and you should be prompted to enter teh code.

Additionally, the car's bluetooth is "discoverable" for like 30 seconds or so when you first turn the ignition on. It should show up on an iPhone initially as "Handsfree" and then change to something like BMW3829 once you enter the code and it's properly paired.

well if you don't know the code there's no point in trying. Mine was 0742 and I never would have guessed that....

I doubt it will work unless you have the code.
Mine was simple enough. It's not an iPhone but it's gotta be similar. I simply hit the bluetooth button (the face with soundwaves coming out of his mouth) on the steering wheel and went into my phone's "add new device" section. At that point I put in the 4 digit number from my owner's packet. It's worked perfect since. |

The BT code is on the Module in the trunk back wall.
You have to pull the trim to get to it.
