Z4 (non-M) Definitive Wheel Spec Thread

I noticed the Z4M thread and thought I'd start one for the other Z4's. I've searched high and low and am having a tough time finding much information on wheel offset options, hopefully you all can help me fill in the blanks! Please specify which model it is (if it matters). I apologize if there's already one of these, but I didn't find one.

-Stock Z4 SI 18" Wheel Offsets
-Front = 8" et = ?
-Rear = 8.5" et = ?
-Front Weight = ?
-Rear Weight = ?

-How aggressive have you got with offsets and tire sizes?

For Non-M on stock suspension, 19x8.5 ET30 and 19x9.5 ET40 should give you pretty flush stance.

If the car is lowered then it all depends on your supsension setup. But 19x8.5 ET35 and 19x9.5 ET43 should work really well if your suspension is not extreme.

What's the most offset one can run with a 9.5" wheel? Some of the e90 guys run 9.5" with 25 offset. Would that basically push the wheels out about another inch and a half over stock? Is that offset acceptable on the Z4, or is it too aggressive?

You can run with a 19X9.5" rear wheel with a 35 offset. On my last set of wheels (Miro Type 366s) i ran a 19X8.5" front and 19X10" rear with a 35 offset all around. I recall someone running a 32 offset in the rear.

Keep in mind that these measurements are with 265/30/19 rear tires.

Thanks, that helps a lot.
So if you're running a 35 offset on a 10" then you should be safe with as low as 29 I'd say on a 9.5". At least that's what my math would say. 25 is probably still too aggressive, even with 265/30's.

A 29 offset may be pushing it . IMO, I would go no lower than a 32 offset.

How different is our rear from Z4m? I notice a lot of them run 2x offset on 18x10 wheels?

bump for a great thread!

i've noticed a lot more questions and posts coming in for non-///m wheel and tire fitment, so i'm hoping to get this thread to "sticky" levels soon.

these specs are for getting the wheel out flush (not past) the fender line on stock suspension and little need to add negative camber front or rear.

for the front...

8.5" width = et35
8.0" width = et29

for the rear...

9.5" width = et42
9.0" width = et35
8.5" width = et29

i'm personally running...

style = oem style 313 (stock, off an E92 335is)

please excuse the crappy camera phone pics...

specs =
front = 18" x 8.0" et34 with 225/40r18
rear = 18" x 8.5" et37 with 255/35r18

weights =
front = 22.1 lbs ( +- 0.3 lbs, according to the scale mnfr )

Just to add, I'm currently running:

Volk RE-30 in 18x8.5 et42 on all 4 corners

No rub whatsoever, and that's with a 12mm spacer on the rear, effectively giving me a 30mm offset

225/40-18 tires but will be upgrading to 255/35 shortly

i don't have anything on mine yet... it snowed here this morning, and we're to get more wednesday. oh well.

in the mean time, "rlc" has the same offsets. use your imagination to lower the car down to ZSP height...
http://www.zpost.com/forums/bpgarage...o=view&id=2207

and here is a chop with 313's on it... (best viewed from about 6+ feet away from your monitor, don't ask me why... it just works)

I'm still curious as to what the difference between the rear of an M vs non-M really is? as far as I can gather the sheet-metal is the same for the two vehicles and the front offsets are essentially identical. Does the M have a different offset because the axles/hubs/brakes? or something that is drastically different?

The whole rear end... subframe, suspension, brakes, etc is different bet the 2 cars.
