Interested in what the new Z4M will be like and unless I read it wrong, if only a soft top then no interest. I prefer coupes.

I am glad to see the Z4 continuing in any form. Also good that it is going back to a cloth top and lighter weight. Lets see if it actually hits the road.

Success of the next gen always leads to the success of the previous gen so I hope this next one turns out nice once it launches. Can't judge right now with the camo.

They went back to a soft top so one may surmise it will be an improvement over the E89 Z4 which I liked but it's RHT complexity always loomed over the potential ownership experience.
In M Sport guise the E89 Z4 looked very good. The new one will be interesting. |

It's going to have to be an incredible car from them to get me to even think about giving up my Z4M for a more modern, overpriced BMW. If they want 60-70k for the car or something absurd like that, there is sooooo much competition in that price range just a few years used.

That's also Porsche territory! My guess is that the base, 4-cyl model would be just a notch above the M240i. Any M variant would def be 60-70k, like you said.

Got to wait for the cammo and the extra panels to come off before judgment is passed.
Hopefully, they come out with a coupe.

I expect the car will be a looker. My fear though is that it will be brutally expensive.

I'm not happy about this. The fact that they teamed up with Toyota to build this disgusts me. The best Z4 was the E85/86. After that they got bloated and lost the looks unfortunately.

If the Supra ends up even remotely close to the renderings it'll be a looker, BMW better have something solid to match. |
