Tried to catch my hat and almost broke hand!

Wasn't going that fast so I guess a gust of wind blew my BB cap off ! Of course my instinct was to try and catch it real quick resulting in me punching the frame above the windshield MAN that hurt ! Hopefully never it happens again / beware / just let it go LOL

Good call, and what about the BB cap. Is it ok? I have a couple of BB caps that are worth the effort.

I have a leash I use with my roadster hats. It works really well. Only had to use it twice :-)

Man has already solved this problem with technology...

Specifically states... "prevents broken hands"

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

When I bought my Z last August, I was removing the contents of the trunk with the previous owner (79 year old guy.) He had a baseball hat with the brim cut off of it and I picked it up and asked what this "beanie thing" was? He was embarrassed and replied, "I made that because it's the only way I can keep a hat on my head with the top down." I've been thinking about doing the same thing ever since...

This. I've got a bunch of these on various hats and have been using them since I bought my S2000 in 1999. They've saved my hat several times. I even keep one in the glove box for passengers if they're wearing a hat.

Another solution is to grow your hair long, wear a pony tail, and pull it through the back of the hat. That's what my wife does when she's driving the Roadster.
