I've hit 100k in two Z's. The first was my non-M, which has only required a few things beyond regular oil changes, and nearly everything could be considered standard maintenance:
- Belts - Starter - Fluids - Battery - FCABs - Window Regulator - Shift Knob - Windshield - Alignment - Spark Plugs - Valve Cover Gasket - HID Bulb - Both Side Mirrors (auto-dimming fluid leaks) - Oil Filter Housing Gasket - Dampers The M has required a little more: - HID Bulbs - Fluid Changes - Brake Duct - Battery (x3) - Steering Wheel Trim - Shift Knob + Light - Alignment - Valve Adjustment - Spark Plugs - Rear View Mirror - Vanos Rebuild - Rod Bearing - Motor Mounts - Alternator (+ Reprogramming DME After Failure) - Fuel Pump / Filter - Weather Stripping

Glad to see all the 100k cars. I'm at 72k right now and that has always been a concern for me since I would like to keep the car forever but in the back of my head I'm always thinking how long she will last.

Great thread. I'm at 84k. Bought it with 41k two years ago. Daily driving and just driving for fun. An all around great car. I bought the car to drive not to keep the miles off! Glad to see I'm not the only one who enjoys driving their cars.

My 03 Z4 hit 100K early last year. I'm currently at 101, 961 and it runs like a champ, besides the low mpg (gas guzzler for some reason). I just change the oil and recently changed spark plugs. Driver seat was jacked up (rips and tears) and plastic parts (interior) are starting to break. Other than that, solid vehicle!!!

I'm at 140k.
Latest issues besides having to replace waterpump, valve cover gasket, ac repair, bushings, 2 broken exterior door handles, emblem replacements, new rims (old ones cracked) and tires, broken convertible top (i can do it by hand..), broken passenger window regulator, dry rotted lower intake boot, new headlight bulb, SRS airbag light, windshield weather stripping, rear 3rd light broken, one more... the CVV line replacements.. jeez.. I've put a lot of work into this. Edit+ Had to change starter, battery, alternator, and inner roof lining came off. suspension bushings had to be replaced too This is a great list for anyone buying a new z4 (e85) to check. I'll actually use it for my next purchase. Last edited by ljkiter; 03-04-2016 at 08:57 PM.. |

I'm at 244k on my 2003 2.5 Z4.
It is a DD for me and still going strong. Believe it or not I also still have the original clutch. I keep wondering how long it will last Donovan |

You must be an excellent dancer. I got about 170k out of my MR2's clutch, and I thought that was good. I did tend to drag it on downshifts to throw some stop bias to the rear. This was before the days of ABS.
