Question for you RustyCat

Do they both use the same power cord. I know they look the same, but is the acutal module giving the same power in the same order? As your setup (one for city one for rural) sounds really apealing to me.

Budget friendly
Easy install

My V1 (but I do have a RX65 in my daily) mounted on right side. Don't see too much wiring and again, both visors come down easily

+1. V1. Hardwired to fuse block with fuse tap. Mounted just like this one. Period.

But I am biased...

I'm sure they use the same cord connection, but in my situation I simply plug the V1 into the power outlet in the console and live with the wire running up the front of the dash. This works fine in my situation, as I only use both of them on the occassional trip out of the area.

Last year I switched from the V1 to the 9500ix because of the V1's chattyness. I use my car as my DD for 8 months of the year. I ran both side by side for a week so I could directly compare them. They both had strong points, but the difference in alert was always within 1 second of each other - well before the cop could see me. Somewhere on one of these boards is a writeup on my experience.
The bottom line is that you can't go wrong with either model.

Running them side by side definitely causes interference
