BMW Spare Tire - reduced price

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
I don’t know about you, I do not want to trust the BMW “Mobility System” of BMW,
that “applies a sealant to the inside of a flat tire, seal off the damage area, restore the tire inflation pressure and then continue driving”…bull-xxxx!

I want a real spare tire that I can use. I like going into remote areas and I do NOT want to be stranded somewhere without a spare tire.

For the last four BMW cars I have owned, that have no real spare tire, I have carried in my trunk the below real spare rim & tire.

I currently own a 2007 BMW Z4 Coupe. This rim will not fit over the much larger brakes.
I have obtained another rim and tire that does fit over the larger brakes, as a spare rim & tire.
So, I am selling the below BMW spare wheel & tire.

The tire & rim does NOT take much room.
When the rim is face-down, you can store item inside the rim

$225 or best offer (zip-code 45039)

Have you actually test fitted that wheel? I know in theory it would clear the brakes but that looks like an e39 wheel, and I thought they had different hub sizes. Could be totally wrong on this.

==========================================
I used this wheel and tire, as a spare, for 3 different cars:
1. 1999 Z3 M Coupe
2. 2001 Z3 M Coupe
3. 2007 Z4 Coupe 3.0si

The wheel and tire fit on all 3-cars front & back, without a problem.

Only because the brakes are so much bigger on my 2007 Z4 M Coupe and that that this BMW wheels has an inner lip, the wheel will not fit.
I have another 17" wheels without the inner lip, that does fit over the brakes, that I am using as a spare.

This 17" wheel & tire will work fine as a spare on most Z3, Z4 and 3-Series cars.

Thanks for the clarification. For some reason I thought that wheel was unique to the 5-er. Bump for a good deal =)
