Seat back bottom screw (torx, phillips, what?)
2008 E85 3.0si Roadster
Can anyone tell me what kind of screw that is where I have placed the red arrow on the pic below. When I installed my seat covers, I undid them to slide the cover-strap behind them, now 2 years later I cannot remember what kind of screw that is? I cannot get my big fat head back there to see it (it is in a recessed hole) and my phillips did not seem to get a bite on it...ANYONE? TIA! |

That is a plastic expanding rivet with a phillips head
You may need to put pressure behind the head of the screw as they tend to spin |

I think we may be talking about different screws as my first pic with the red arrow wasn't very clear. It is actually the screw that holds the seat adjustment plastic piece in place at the rear. It is definitely a torx, I just used my phone cam (with flash) to take a picture of it (below). Since I don't own torx bits, does anyone know what specific torx size it is? I am hoping to only have to buy one although that may be impossible.

That's an E-torx brother. I'll guess E10 or E15.

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
