Here is my other car - a toy. I feel like such a spoilt child now. The TT RS is like a sledge hammer compared to the scalpel Z4MC, but fun in its own way. And a lot of power potential too.

Well I'll add you to the list, but there are 5 others in front of you.
I think that this wagon is more rare then the E86 in North America. I have only seen 4 others Mtechs and they were all automatic. Does anyone know if there is a production numbers database for the 3 series like the Z4? Would be interesting exactly how rare it really is.

When I bought an X3 for my wife, I inherited her 04 E46 as my DD. Upgraded all of the suspension pieces, wheels/tires. Nothing fancy performance wise--automatic. But I still get compliments when I'm out and about. Never grow tired of the E46 lines.

Oh man, we want one so bad. That's awesome! When the new MINIs first came out in 2002, I bought a Chili Red with white top MINI Cooper S. I wanted to pair it with an FJ40, but couldn't find one that wasn't expensive. Now, they are off the charts. You've got a great pair of rare vehicles.

I have a plain jane Tacoma, 4wd v6. I've been using it for commutes etc. but I seem to have developed an itch for something else in addition to it. Currently I'm researching lightly used Japanese luxury/performance cars such as Lexus GS models and Infiniti M's.

Toyota Tacoma Quad cab is definitely the way to go! It's the perfect compliment to the E85/E86. You can move 4 passengers reasonably comfortably (5 if they're good friends). There's enough bed space to take care of most home project materials, and if needed it has enough tow capacity you can drop the E85/E86 on a trailer and haul it with you.
My "Taco" is an '02.

Not the most practical when it comes to hauling but hey... that's why you have friends with trucks. The AWD and gas mileage are great and the fact that it's the same engine as the Z makes for convenient parts shopping too. Not too mention it's only one cubic foot less storage space than the sedan and more front leg room than the sedan. Because let's face it, if you're sitting in the back seat you're either the smallest or least liked of the group so who cares about your comfort.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Waiting for the right E60 M5 to pop up (2010, white/space gray on red, 6MT) and it'll replace our Volvo XC90. Wife's idea, and no complaints from me

Oil Burning Merc ML. 30MPG to go with my lengthy commute.....(68 Miles each way) Never thought I would dip into the dark side but frankly I quite like it, for what it is.
