Sweet! I assume then that he's gonna have the pattern and we can order as normal from that point. Alcantara with red stripe for me

I ask again, how durable is alcantara? I know it has a high "rub rating" but I'd expect it to wear down and get shiny in spots in a few dozen thousand miles

Not sure, but I'd recon you can traverse the shiny spot syndrome, but wearing full alacantra racing gloves while driving, Alpine stars make a nice set. ;P

I'm not big on alcantara, but I'll ask again, is there the possibility to retrofit a heated wheel function?

I'd like to get something like this done to my non-m steering wheel. This was posted by a user in England on another forum.

Based on the other responses, it doesn't seem like the guy is 100% dependable as far as turnaround time. Considering your car is undriveable in the meantime, that would make me nervous as hell.

turn time is not really a problem i just had to make a pattern the wheel in question i get just a few asking for it to be done so just took time to make a pattern (lower priority vs. other wheels i do) typically if someone sends me a wheel i have it ready to ship back in 2 days (depending on how many other folks have sent theirs to be done) if it is a wheel i do regularly i typically have several cores on hand so no down time just core exchange

OK thats fair. So now you have a pattern and can turn them around quick?

I think there are a lot of people here interested who have been thinking the same thing, and this definitely helps with that question.
