Previous Z owners...just wondering
I've had four Z3s. Two 1.9 liter and two 3 liters. I've never owned a M roadster . This is my first Z4 3 liter. I have a few questions so have patience with me. Seems like this is a great forum ,no name calling and ranting. I'm on several car forums, some are ugly for sure. Relaxing to be here. How many have owned Zs before?

I had an '07 3.0si coupe before I switched to the M. I loved the coupe but I wanted to pare down my garage so I sold that coupe and my white/black supercharged E36 M3/4/5 and modified the new M to a point where I don't miss the E36 at all.

American Racing wheels /Torq Thrust 2 All Aluminum. You can get them with chrome center and Aluminum barrels or all chrome or all Aluminum. Those are all aluminum. The entire car almost is Aluminum. Frame, most body parts, engine ,trans, driveshaft, rad.etc. The trans and diff. are in the rear like a vette.

My wife has a '97 Z3 M44 and I have a '08 Z4 3.0si Coupe. Both have the same last 3 digits of the VIN. Karma. Both great cars.
Just love the Prowler.

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Nice! You don't come across too many Prowlers these days. Looks like it's in great condition.
As for Z4's, I've owned two: My current Z4M Roadster and a 215hp Z4 Roadster (3.0i automatic). The latter was my first "nice" car out of college that I bought after selling my 10 year old Hyundai Sonata. I bought it used for about the same cost as a mid-level Accord, so it was an incredible value. I had some really fond memories in that car as a young, single guy on the west coast. Safe to say, that Z4 left an indelible impression on me about top-down driving that really got me started on my car journey. 10 cars later I had an opportunity to buy a mint-condition Z4M and the nostalgia was just too strong to pass up. They're both fantastic cars! |
