Yeah, just not sure if I am happy with the volume. Going to keep them on for a month and if I'm not used to it, will likely sell them and pick up a set of Stromung's or similar.

Mike, if you're still in town for the long weekend we should find a time for a quick meet-up; I'd like to hear your setup. Who knows, if I like it, you may have a local buyer if your month-long eval ends unfavourably.

Sure Steve, I am around today and tomorrow afternoon but not Monday. I may head out for a little cruise around 4pm today if you want to meet somewhere.

Shoot me a pm

Thanks for the ride! It's difficult to tell after a quick trip on city streets, but it sounds pretty sweet and low down to me. Definitely a nice rumble from outside the car.

For mine, I'll probably start at the front (headers and section 1) before doing x-pipe and mufflers.

No prob Steve.

If your goal is ultimately performance, makes sense to start at the front, though I wonder if a more restrictive muffler might hurt potential performance gains. Not sure though.

Have you had the car hot yet Mike? My exhaust gets louder when I've done a long cruise or hit the track. Your volume will go up when everything is hot.

Give it at least a month of solid driving. Toss in the carpet in the back like I did and you will get used to it. The carpet reduced the noise a little bit. However, top down, it won't make a ounce of difference :P

Would love to hear it. Did you guys meet up today?

Yeah, Steve and I met so he could hear the exhaust.

I dunno about the whole top down and the mat not making a difference. I don't think it will be a cure all but since there does not seam to be as much drone when standing outside, I can only assume a lot of it is coming from resonance of some of the metal (trunk pan, etc) and that's why I really hear the majority of it in the car. Just a theory, we'll see.

Mike usually on roadster/cabrio you have less drone with the roof down.
The whole cabin act like an resonating chamber.
For example, we just had a Mini Roadster in for the full tune job (full oversize exhaust - downpipe, cat, centr pipe and muffler, Evolve Intercooler, Evolve R tune, Ohlins coilovers) and it sounds fantastic but it does drone with the roof up and the windows closed.

Do you have pictures of your car with the exhaust fitted? Videos?

Looking forward to the vids. My euro headers / SS x-pipe / Remus system is a little too quiet for my tastes. I've heard a stock system w/ just Remus cans, and mine is a whole lot louder. Still not quite there for a weekend/track car tho.

Please take a few drive-by clips too if you can Mike
