Any concerns if I do this?

Got my EC7s today and sold my stock wheels and rubber (two different buyers). Without going into all the details, I need to install the Contis onto the EC7s, drive the car 100 miles away, then take the Contis off and have new PSSs mounted.

As the wheels will need to be balanced with both the Conti's and then the PSSs mounted, I am wondering if there is any concern in doing so. I realize they will need to add weights to the wheel after the Conti mount then remove and add new ones for the PSSs so I am just wondering if I should be at all concerned about doing this.

Lets forget the cost of mounting two sets...I realize this, but there is a good reason.

Thanks

There's always the risk of marring the wheels whenever you mount/dismount tires. Those tire guys always end up putting tiny marks onto my wheels when they remove those wheel weights, no matter what I told them about being careful with the wheels

Can you borrow a set of wheels from a buddy? Same thing happened to a friend--I lent him my spare wheels/tires to tide him over.

If it was me I would try to go the 100 miles unbalanced. I'd probably make something up to not get them balanced.

XMetal- I always remove the weights myself and drive the rims to the tire shop inside my SUV.

Was thinking of that. How bad do you think the drive would be?

I'd be hesitant to let the tire monkeys handle the wheels more than necessary. My new ARC-8s were recently damaged on a third attempt to properly balance them. Good luck to you.

I may try this for the MC, but can't do if my SUV's tires need changing
