mines a strict weekend play thing..... i did use it alittle more when it was brand new but for 90% of its life its been a weekend toy, im ashamed to say.. my 2007 car only has 11,300 miles!! Lol!!

sadly parenthood and work has killed my usage of it really!! 2013 im planning many more sprint days!!

weekend only. I could not bring myself to park it in the public lot at work. It's also where the children like to play football and ride their bikes.

I'll chime in. Got a tuned up Golf for the weekday commutes; the M is now reserved for canyon blasts, autocrosses and occasional track days. Ninety percent of her mileage has been top-down, radio up, canyon carving.

I drove a Z4 from Atlanta to New Orleans a number of years ago, almost all highway. It was perfectly livable but driving on the interstate just felt like I was wasting a good sportscar.

I'm a 54 year old man and have wanted a sports car since I was 18. I got my Z4 about 3 weeks ago. You bet it is my DD!

The roadster is once again a weekend ride. DD duties now go to this EV and with its Tesla Model S engine in place, it's got some torque to it! :-)

^ Very nice. What kind of range does it have and will Tesla let you charge it up for free at their superchargers?

Thanks! Range depends on how you drive it. Driving it in Sports mode with a heavy foot, I get 90-100 miles (I think it's the fastest SUV on the road). Some have gotten 150 miles driving like a granny on the highway; 175+ miles city streets. The one drawback is that it can't use the supercharger system - just the standard J1772 system.

My Z4 is usually for nice weather, weekend and racetrack use only.
But it tastes some rain too...

And this is my grocery getter and winter wreck. 2006 318i Touring.

It's so hot this weekend that I had to drive the roadster with the top up and AC blasting - still tons of fun!

I'm thinking about replacing tires on the weekend roadster. I was going to go with Pilot Super Sport but what do people think of the new Pilot Sport A/S 3? It's an all season: http://www.michelinman.com/tire-sele...rt-a-s-3-tires

But you're in San Diego. We don't have all seasons, only 2, Spring and Summer.
I used to live in Chicago, so I've had lots of all season tires.
From my experience, the extra tread makes them feel very nervous.
The steering feels sluggish and your butt will feel the tread blocks squishing around on the rears.
