Hi, I am Emile a proud owner of a 2006 Z4 M Roadster, had it for 4 weeks now and enjoying the mods. I am in California's Central Coast. It is my fun car, planning on light track and autocross use. Thank you all for your contribution to this site, I learned a lot in a very short time as you can see.
My first BMW after 26 years. my first one was a 86 525i. My father always had Bimmers, the ones I remember 78 728i, 85 745i. regards,

Hello everyone. Brand new member here, as should be obvious by my post count! Been automotively obsessed for the past 18ish years and just bought my z4 a few weeks ago...
2003 3.0i 6-speed with 69k miles. She's in pretty pristine condition and I must say, I've never had much desire to own a convertible, but I'm certainly seeing the benefits! My girlfriend absolutely loves it, and I'm heading in that direction myself! Only modifications I'm aware of on it are z4m wheels and aux input (not actually sure if that's a modification, but it sure doesnt look stock). Most immediate plans include a "topsider" oil change this weekend and a trans/diff fluid swap in the near future. Originally my intent was to keep the car fully stock, but as someone who always has the itch, I'm considering at least a couple tasteful mods to follow. Likely going to put a slightly larger diameter non-run flat tire in the future, to get a bit of a softer ride and give the car slightly more ground clearance while simultaneously reducing the wheel gap. Also considering a glass rear windscreen to replace the mesh one... I'm open to opinions on that one. Also considering a different muffler. I'll likely cut the stock one off and weld some vbands in place to swap between stock and aftermarket at my convenience. Just for shits and giggles, here are my other cars as well: 1990 BMW 325i with 400k miles. Dad bought it new and left it for me when he passed a couple years ago. I've been working on bringing it back to OEM+ shape ever since. The z4 was purchased to take daily driver duty away from the e30. When I got her: How she looks now: And the 1997 Ford Probe GT... highly modified. All bolt ons, standalone MS3X, custom intake manifold and 75mm TB, fully stripped, stock wiring harness removed, etc. Hoping for around 210whp in this setup. Also have a j-spec engine, all titanium valvetrain, and race cams looking to be put together and revved up to 9k rpm. Hoping for around 235whp in that iteration. Oh and a 75 shot of nitrous. All that in a car that weighs in around 2200-2300lbs, should be pretty fun! Anyways, hi! |

For what its worth, for my 3.0si roadster I went with 18 inch CSL reps from VMR (VMR 718s) last year. Some pics and details here: http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1294464 The offsets are 35mm on the front and 45mm on the rear. By the way, the guys at VMR can recommend sizing and offsets for your specific car. I found the guys very helpful in that regard. Enjoy the new ride!

Hey guys,
Wanted to thank everybody for all the helpful responses to my posts about battery replacement, electronics etc. Picked up a 2007 Z4MC from a fellow member a couple months ago, and am absolutely in love with it. The car has 32k miles and has been very well cared for. Looking forward to being a part of this community and hopefully meeting members at CCA events. |

It's never easy! At least you have a garage space to fill now. Hopefully with something just as glorious, if not more. If you ever find yourself in New England, you're always welcome to take the car out for a spin.

Rosie - Google photos is flaky on using the url for photos. Here's how to get the actual url - Blogger
The url for the image below in Google Photos won't display if you're logged into Google under any account; http://photos.google.com/photo/AF1Qi...6EDIKUs86j_VpQ But this one should show to everyone, but is a massively long url; http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/CBB...P=w619-h465-no

I'm new to the forum. I had always gotten sensible cars, especially while raising our kids, but now that my kids are all grown, I decided that I wanted to get a fun car. Convertibles attracted me, as well as going back to a manual transmission. After looking around at various convertibles, I saw the Z4 and loved the lines. I test drove a 2003 2.5i, a 2003 3.0i, and a 2006 M. I even drove a 2009 to see if I would like a hardtop convertible. After driving all of those, the ///M attracted me the most. I found one low mileage 2006 M, and even took a long road trip to see it, but it was in disappointing shape. It was left out in the hot Arizona sun way too much. Pretty sad.
Then I found this 2006 Z4M. She's a sexy beast and is in far better shape than the other Z4M that I considered. I am set to have her delivered on Wednesday. Then I'll be able to start enjoying driving her around. I've been already looking at accessories to get her. |

Relatively new here. Purchased my '07 Z4M Coupe from member Skuronen a few months ago. I had been shopping for something to replace my Porsche 928 for a few months, and came across the car on this forum. The car was in excellent condition, and really didn't need anything aside from the typical cosmetic items to get into top shape. Anyhow, here's a pic:
