Draft of air in the driver side footwell of my N52 2006 BMW 3.0i

Team - have an issue where a draft of air seems to be coming from the firewall under the footwell on my driver side. I have isolated it to a hole there and assume there was a grommet of some sort to plug it. I recently had work performed on the ignition switch so I am thinking the mechanic left a piece out. Can someone do me a favor and send me a picture of the driver side footwell showing the firewall so I can get an idea of how it looks? Would appreciate SO much. Thanks team!

There are 2 things I can think of: sound generator pipe (Which 3.0i doesn't have) cover and the cover for automatic hydraulic line routing (for at? - not used in mt?)?

Not sure that is correct.
My 3.0i had the sound generator.
Anyway, I agree it could be the source of the draft
