Back on topic (again), so far it looks like only 561Design and myself that have definitive plans. Once registration opens, and we get closer to Homecoming, we can get a better idea about doing a GTG and caravan over for the event. (And NO, Fire is not allowed to lead )

There are still plenty of open rooms at the Embassy Suites IF you book across the whole weekend. Would be fun to have all the forum members from here and Z4'um staying in the same place

Any other inputs are welcome!

Cheers!

Apparently my step-son will be here during that time. Since he's a little too big to fit in the trunk, I may be coming to this event by myself. I was hoping my wife would have been able to come with me.

Bump, for the late arrivals that were lost out on the expansive plains of the 'net.

Phil, 20Ducks, etc., has anyone heard anything else about when registration is going to open?

Update

Woohoo, finally some news!! Copied from a post over at Roadfly:

www.bmwroadsterhomecoming.com

"Hello Again and welcome to the website as we prepare for Homecoming 2007. In a few days we will publish the detailed schedule for the event so you can begin planning your participation. Our hope is that by giving you the schedule of events in advance you will have time to make your decisions before the opening of registration. This should reduce mistakes and the need for changes later. Most of the details are already in place but we have one more important part to finalize before we publish the event schedule.

Registration will open on Saturday, June 9th. This year we have increased the size of the event to accommodate even more Roadster and Coupe owners and maybe even reduce the frenzy surrounding registration! As always, Homecoming will take place on Labor Day weekend and once again Embassy Suites will be our host hotel.

When we open registration we'll also tell you more about the 10 Years of Homecoming DVD and how to order your own copy. We have a lot to tell you about in the days ahead but for now we want you to relax and look forward to this wonderful end of summer event when we celebrate the joy of driving the Z3 and Z4."

I have my reservations already and hopefully this will give others an incentive to join the merriment

Cheers!

Camp out early on the site and keep on using the F5 key. Once the registration opens go for it and make sure you have your credit card # handy. This is an awesome event so plan on taking the plant tour, book into the Tech tent for any adjustments like door dings or minor touch-ups etc. And make damn sure you go down Vendor Alley and meet the boyz at LeatherZ. They are simply the best.

Yeah, but they have to bring their own personal lubricant of choice.

We have a room at Embassy Suites in Greenville as well.

IMHO the reason Z4um went down is because the HC virgins were starting plans to sacrifice an MOD or TWO

Where is Gabe anyhow?

There is this nifty gel that is used to extract screws with worn/stripped heads, has tiny bits of sand in it to get that extra grip

Plus, if I remember correctly from the Z4um HC thread, the virgins are not going to be the receivers this year!

Lets put it this way, I'm a pitcher not a catcher.

I think the ratio of returnees to newbies is something like 60 to 1. I think we know who's pitching and who's catching...

Yeh, by the time the home brew is gone, we will see. Just remember ,I'm an exsubmariner. We go out 120 men and come back 60 couples. haha
I know I'm sick, but 90 days under water with no sunlight does things to your mind.

Really looking forward to meeting all in person.

I did 20 in the Navy, and know all about you "bubbleheads"
Sounds like we have a real cast of characters showing up!! Should get real interesting after the pleasantries are exchanged and the drinking begins

Remember, what happens at HC, stays at HC.
