cheaper because of the name and perhaps the quality, unsure of pricing every shop is different, are you talking just muffler?

Mostly due to name brand, ease of "bolt on", fitment, etc.
Magnaflow is just as good (hell most companies use their mufflers for their kits). I plan on going with a custom magnaflow setup soon. I had one on my 325i and my buddy did a setup on his 330i. Or you could just do what I did to my M3 and go straight pipes and scare the shit out of everyone! lol |

As with most mods, go with what you like and what fits your budget + intent of use. Try not to let others tell you what you should/shouldn't do to YOUR car
