You'll have to contact Ronald directly and find out:
ronald@autosolutions.net

Z4M has same tranny as 3.0SI right? So it should fit nicely.

Thanks, just left a msg with Ronald. Only concern is that after adding the UUC trans mount bushings (black), the shifts definitely feel precise but at the cost of the additional notchiness. I'm ok with how it is now, but I hope this kit won't exacerbate the notchiness.

I'm also using the ZHP knob so if Ronald is able to get me a kit, I wonder which knob I should go back to since it'll be too short like you mentioned. The OE knob on the 3.0si really sucks though, not only is it too tall but it's light as hell.

If by "notchiness" you're referring to the increase of effort required to get the shift lever into each gear's gate, then I may have to urge you to reconsider a tiny bit. As this SSK does increase the amount of force required per shift. It is nowhere near as difficult as the E46 M3-version AS SSK, but approximately 20% increase over stock in terms of stiffness. To me, it's not an issue at all, but if your current setup already satisfies you, then I probably wouldn't spend the money on this SSK if I were you (even if Ronald has a spare set for sale).

As for the shift knob, IF you were to get this SSK, I would use the ZHP knob if I were you. Again, this is in regards to your personal setup, according to how you're describing it.

If I end up scoring a kit, I will definitely take yours into consideration

For me, it wasn't more effort, it just had this "pop" type of feedback everytime you changed gears. It's a good thing but I'm not sure how I'd feel if that "pop" was any stronger?

I drove my friend's S2K and was amazed how little effort, yet precise and short the throws were. You could make fast shifts by a mere flick... I'm just hoping I get something closer to that.

Okay, if you liked the S2K's shifter, then you'll like the AS SSK. I was afraid that you were not a fan of the S2K-style resistance characterisitc. But now I know what you're looking for. And you'll find it in the AS SSK =]

Anybody got this bad boy installed yet? I won't be the first, as much as I'd like to get it in the car.

You mean DIY'd right? Yeah, sorry, I didn't wanna mess with this myself, so I had the race shop install for me
They're the same shop that installed the very first SSK of this kind, on that one Z4MC that I test-drove. So I knew they weren't going to have any issues with installation as they'd already done it once before

Anyway see any issue with disconnecting one end of the driveshaft? Seems like it would be easier that taking apart the shift lever.

Can you not get enough room by removing the tranny cross brace & lower things a little?

Ya I thought about that, but I just don't have anything to support the tranny.

doh! That's what happens with the PC is down for a few days for upgrades of it's own - totally missed that. Thanks! Be careful with the speed buddy....we've all probably been there, done that - that's instantaneous ticket to jail, license suspended, don't pick up the bar of soap, kiss the mods good bye for a loooong time speed... Not lecturing, just saying......

lol thanks for the thought. No worries though! Part of the perks of tracking my car has been that it's taught me that public roads are not safe for fast-driving. I'm actually a very slow, safe, and responsible driver on the streets; no joke.

I make sure there's no-one around me to jeopardize if I'm going to be doing anything anywhere close to being "unsafe". Plus I had V1 for detection. And there were only a couple attempts total, for the mentioned reasons.

Turns out, I did both, lol, remove the tranny cross brace and then disconnect the driveshaft. At least I don't have to take apart the shift lever now!

I should have taken the car to my mechanic. This is NOT an easy job or maybe I just don't know the easy way, lol.

I did warn you guys
It's too bad you guys aren't all local to me. Otherwise I'm sure I could've negotiated a GB price for all of our cars to go in for the SSK install
End result might've been something along the lines of $100 per car

Can anyone let me know how many spacers and E-clips they got?

I got the following:
- 6 nylon spacers
- 3 E-clips

But in the instructions it talks about a wave washer which I didn't get any of and I think we need two. Not sure why I got 3 E-clips either, I thought we would only need two, one for either end of the selector rod.

Thanks in advance!

The extra kit that I have with me right now (for dorifto88; a local Z4MC owner), has:
- 3 small metal c-clips
- 1 big metal c-clip (which is already preassembled into the shift coupler)
- 6 nylon washers
