lol I can't help but see that as....
You could've just PM'd him directly instead of posting in my thread (about a different vendor altogether) It's like me starting a thread about a new BMW I just purchased, and you coming in and saying Mercedes is top-notch! Hrm........ I would appreciate it if we could keep this thread to only being about Performance Gearing's differential solution, and not any other vendor's. Should've emphasized that the first time around. Last edited by mfanatic325; 05-06-2014 at 09:41 AM.. |

Performance Gearing is amazing and is the shop that I know many pro BMW race teams use. There is also another large BMW diff company too.
Mfanatic, we will have to get bigger super chargers to keep up with you on the track. |

You guys missed a fun drive last weekend! Yes, time for another bay area meet up. Plus, I'd like to compare your new dif to my 4.10..

So I've begun driving the car much harder since the diff swap. This new diff is simply amazing. I can stay planted now while still entering corners faster than before, and carrying more speed through and out of corners. It's just brilliant. I would've never thought an LSD upgrade would be this significant. Sure, probably "better" but this is just WOW. Almost grips like a new car altogether.
And for those of you that may have been following my supercharging woes (mostly due to VF-Engineering's incompetencies and just bad luck all around), I'm currently nearing the end of my custom tuning process with Frank Smith, and last night I went back to the same dyno that I started off doing baseline runs with; and I pulled a peak 440RWHP & 315RWTQ MUCH better than the 395/300 I was getting before, with VF's shitty in-house tune and service TLDR>>putting out more power now than before, driving faster/harder, carrying more speed before, during, and after corners; yet staying more glued to the ground (and predictably I might add) all thanks to new diff! |

I haven't been to the track in over a year, but I've had the opportunity to carve some nice mountain roads, and I feel confident pushing the car even with 440RWHP and 315RWTQ that I'm currently pushing out If I recall correctly, PG is located in Arizona. |

As a result, i bought 2 diffs from 750il and will be swapping my LSD with 3.91 gears from an e34 M5. I will also put 3 clutch packs instead of 2 for a 40% lock. No ramp modification though, maybe in the future i could swap them for 30/70 angles |
