08 Z4 M (non-coupe) tire size and fitment

Folks I have searched and read numerous threads on this forum and others about tire selection and read the differing views on track versus wet versus dry road conditions.

My car is a daily driver here in the Tucson area and rarely sees snow but we get our periods of rain. Definitely the roads could use some repair http://www.zpost.com/forums/images/smilies/bow.gif. I am nota track guy and my car is DD. My questions is thoughts opinions on stock wheels going with a setup of:
235/40/18 and 265/35/18 or 245/40/18 and 275/35/18 and staying with Conti Extreme Contact DWS or going with Sumitomo HTRZ III or other all season tires.

I want to ensure no rubbing and also worry about lowering the car more.

Thanks for the help.

Bill
