Road bike IN a Z4 Roadster
Per title, I know this is possible in the coupe, has anyone done it in the Roadster? Specifically, driving with the roof up?
I think it can be done. First and foremost the wheels will fit in the boot with ease. Removing the pedals and chain will make things easier (and less dirty). I've not tried, yet, but has anyone got a formula for success. |

I've never done it but as you said, removing pedals and I'd probably loosen or remove the handlebars at the stem. Probably the seat & post as well. None of that will take more than a few minutes and should make things exponentially easier.

Why not just put a hitch on and then attach a bike rack? Better that then messing up your passenger seat. There are hidden hitch systems, like Invisihitch, that are hidden when not in use.

There are also traditional bike racks that work with the car. Just have to make sure it is clean and the paint won't get scratched. I did that a few times before getting my truck.
