Similar to LSB but it doesn't have that turquoise element to it.
Of the +16K E92M3s made for N.Amer. there were 22 produced in Santorini.
congrats, beautiful classic NA V8
interested to hear your preferences/impressions as compared to the Z4MC once you have had it for a while

I finally got round to having the new convertible top hydraulic motor installed. My local Indy had temporarily resuscitated the previous one a couple of months ago (loose connection), but this time it was toast. He relocated the pump to the trunk, behind the LH trim, so hopefully this one will last longer, now that it isn’t being doused with water every time it rains🙂
Also changed the oil and filter today with BMW product and have a new Blackstone report to look forward to👍

Got any pics? Its almost worth doing this as a preventive maintenance measure. So sad that the BMW brain trust of engineering whiz kids couldn't figure out this bit of plain old common sense design and incorporate it into the car's manufacturing.

They really are awesome together. What amazes me is that these just don't show their age. Maybe you could call the Z4M Coupe Vanna White. She never ages.

How do you get away with that tint on the M3?

Salty

Tint was from PO.
The front windshield will be coming off.

All I can say is that they are both super special!

I actually took my e92 out on a mountain run and it was just amazing. IMHO, the most completele car M division has made. Completely different to the Z, but so special in its own way

I don’t have any pics from the installation, as I left the car with my Indy for a few days so he could work on it between other jobs. I hadn’t realized that there was room for the pump and hydraulic lines to be completely hidden under the trunk lining, so was pleasantly surprised by the end result.
Totally agree with you re the stupidity of the original design - this was evidently at least the second time the pump was replaced on a relatively low mileage, albeit 11 year old car, judging from the heavily siliconed (but waterlogged) pump housing.

Bought the car a month ago and in the last two weeks completed the following:

Stubby antenna
BMW sport pedals
Replaced interior front and rear carpet with black (was originally tan)
Installed LED fog lamps to match new OSRAM HID bulbs (55ooK)
Shaved emblems
Installed LED angel eye bulbs
LED license plate lights
Installed Bimmian Shifter
Replaced oil pan gasket

Tonight I'm finishing installing new control arms and control arm ployurethane bushings

Still on my to do list:
tie rods
Valve cover
Spark plugs
vanos solenoids

Replaced my cabin air filter and put the little oddments tray in to remove the SOS switch.

Also got around to replacing my broken cup-holder. I've never used it, never intend to but it was jammed when I bought the car and I hate knowing something on my car is broken. Whoever signed off on the design of that thing deserves a swift kick in the tenders.

Mind sharing your wheel and tire specs on your Z? Including amount of drop from stock that you have?
