Took some rain with top open / electrical issue UPDATE!!!
Only a light rain for a minute before I could get the top closed . Got some moisture in the SOS plastic window gizmo towards the back of the console .
I assume this is where the problem stems from . I am getting a voice command even with the car and or the radio off . Goes like "Vaya? voice portal verification system , press 1 for asr test 2 for tts test" and so on until "press 7 to turn off" . None of the numbers or buttons I push seem to do anything .When I do finally get it to stop and plug in my aux for Pandora it plays for a few seconds then goes back to the original loop press this press that Anyone had similar problem or any ideas short of take it to the dealership? Appreciate it if anyone has any tips on what to do .I did leave the top open in the sun the next day to help dry things out.Been going on for a couple of weeks now. UPDATE I pulled the SOS module out and still get the same voice portal verification audio alert . Since the clear plastic cover had condensation I assumed that was the problem area .Seems like it may be some other problem any additional thoughts ? Besides not throwing any codes when removed, is it confirmed that removing this has NO impact on bluetooth phone connectivity? Someone in the linked thread above alluded to issues after he removed his. Thanks!
