brake booster line collasped
So today I found out that my lower intake boot was cracked in the flexible tab going up and ordered a new oem one that should be here in a week. Although I notice brake booster vacuum line that connects into that octopus looking mess there was nearly collapsed, Like sucking on a straw with your finger on the bottom. obviously I have to replace this, my question though is, is this normally the way they fail? Is this indicative of another underline issue? Does anyone make a rigid version of this line?

So you think I'm good replacing with the stock OEM boost line, and I don't need to worry about the stuff it's connected to being stuck closed or anything think else weird like that up stream? When I disconnected the fire wall end it made a hissing sounds an was defiantly under a vacuum with the engine off.
Car has a 130 k... bought as a $1,500 basket case and have replaced everything I could on the bottom end, to include but not limited too,oil pan gasket, oil filter, oil level sensor, oil pressure sensor, rotors, brakes, clutch, front wheel hubs, fuel filter (In tank "PITA" ) Shocks, struts, rtabs, other misc bushing (each requiring their own special tool) 10 piece front lower control kits, both cup holders bumper cover and both fenders, 3rd tail light , and a titanium solid gear shift, because yeah it's a stick I just now replaced the the intake boot which smoothed out the idle, which I ordered on eBay this morning only to find a brand new one in the misc parts box left in the trunk by the previous owners good intentions....God provides next is replacing the valve cover gasket,(which is getting out of my comfort zone) due to a small leak on the back rear cover right above the o2 sensors and exhaust pipe which are currently clean and would like to remain that way. https://photos.app.goo.gl/3s3vYLA5JYBha9e56 I'm now chasing a laundry list of codes down and working on the vacuum related ones at the moment. I should probable due plug check when replacing valve cover gasket . some pics of work to date. as received https://photos.app.goo.gl/xkXjK4zHYtWcHAra9 tear down begins https://photos.app.goo.gl/MuuarViykH4s2B739 Clean up and tires stripped. https://photos.app.goo.gl/UBQZtVfiCQ7k2E5y8 home made engine brace (truck ladder rack and 2x4s https://photos.app.goo.gl/7NNtrP6aGG6rCs5N6 cleaning https://photos.app.goo.gl/5A1mbJCFwbrKd7Pa9 Tires painted https://photos.app.goo.gl/C4D49uQFLJyHNFbY6 Neat pic, multiple things in progress https://photos.app.goo.gl/rwvt1w6kTbT7koWVA Body work rear right fender https://photos.app.goo.gl/PsRfK6UcAi4wPWQ89 Front end rebuild https://photos.app.goo.gl/eaMDSZQr7Au5bjNP8 Front struts https://photos.app.goo.gl/XiUKzZsHTtY4HEudA new oil level sensor and oil pan gasket, and cleaning, lots and lots of cleaning.... https://photos.app.goo.gl/jBuSuCaz2CijbZRP8 Pads and rotors, hubs https://photos.app.goo.gl/uBrWLqMJ8gJFnHEg6 Rear shocks pads and rotors, rtabs, bushings https://photos.app.goo.gl/gNAzXEjdyXHXafue8 Rear dbl shot https://photos.app.goo.gl/vYLquzbuCnGFkg7Z8 old pivot bearing and throw out, https://photos.app.goo.gl/5hXgK8ypCrSfj6DM8 New throw out, cleaned, and bass pivot https://photos.app.goo.gl/AQkPSdjBtFk8ZXPRA New fuel filter https://photos.app.goo.gl/wKCjag3C7M23ncsy7 Also next big thing is need to take it in for an alignment now that I've replaced the whole front end.
