No probs, I'm trying to clean up my engine bay a little.

I disconnected the switch going to the secondary air pump yesterday, and drove all day today with no issue at all! Should have the blocking plate installed within 48 hours

I still don't understand why it took so long before someone actually try this...

I wrote in this post 8 months ago that I had no CEL with the SAP and EGR removed.

Even if it would give a CEL, it won't damage anything and you can put everything back and get the code reset.

Besides the weight savings and the cleaner engine bay are there any performance gains HP wise with removing the SAP and EGR?

The other one looks cool though. If I cared about price I would drive a civic.

The difference is $21. So it obviously won't break your wallet, but what difference does aesthetics make when the part is in an area that's barely visible? You'll probably never notice that cover again after you install it. To each his own though.

Not that anyone cares, but my 2.5i did throw a code when the SAP failed.

It took about 200 miles for it to come on after reset.

I had to install a SAP simulator.

My buddy had his off on his m52 turbo ti, and all it did was make a bunch of noise on cold starts until the plate came in....I've actually been meaning to delete mine.
