DIY puddle light install in door instructions?

So I've seen a few passing references to puddle light installs on the Z4 doors but nothing that is a full write up.

Has anyone that has done this documented the wiring, etc that is needed to make this mod happen? I'm confident that I can follow directions, just not confident enough to attempt it blind.
