Ten years, and still going!
I bought my M coupe 10 years ago on Oct 16th. We've gone to the track many times, and even Met our car twin at Homecoming in 08. Thanks for all the great info on this forum!
Anyone else kept their car this long?

I've had mine since September 22nd, 2006.
And turned first lap in this car at California Speedway on September 30th, 2006.

Great post and great pictures, congrats!
I bought my first M coupe in 2007, had to replace it in 2010 (lightly used one-owner car with 8K miles) because the dealer bent a strut during a joy ride (, long story). Almost 30K on it now. This car and my E39 M5 (12 years of ownership) are keepers. To me, they reflect the pinnacle of modern BMW M engineering, design and quality.

10 years coming up!! I had a great chance to look at the MC up close at the Paris Auto Show in '06. Fell in love and the rest was history.
The car still drives like new, and I plan on keeping it for many more decades! |

I got my 06 in 09 so while I haven't had it ten years, it is ten years old.
Still looking great IMHO:

Congrats on the milestone!
I'll be just 2 years this December for the Z4 Coupe. But... the E90 is over 10 years old and 312,000 miles. The E30 I had for 18 years and 256,000 miles. I bought the Z4 as a second daily to the E90 (so I could work on the E90). My Wife's Z3 is coming up on 20 years this March. I'm keeping the Z4 for as long as they make gasoline. We do long-term BMWs in my house.

Its good to see some familiar names in the list! My first lap was at Mid-ohio, it was my second event ever. It showed during that event. shortly after the break in period. the pict above is from putnam park.

I have to say I never much liked the Z4 roadster design because of the treatment of the spoiler built into the trunk. And on both the Coupe and roadster I've always thought the cutline of the rocker panel curving up to the fender wheel lip just doesn't look right. I'd prefer the cutline to be a straight line that drops down following the same angle as the quarterpanel cutline.

It's so cool to see some old friends on this thread. Coming up on 7 years for one of ours and 6 for the other in a few months. Still as much fun as the day we got them!

Coming up to 6yrs in December, and still loving every drive. I never want to sell this car. That's why I ended up buying an E87 130i for my DD.
